Root Canal

Root canals are a common procedure done here in the United States. A root canal is performed when decay has damaged the tooth enough that it has “died” or is projected to die. Root canals are also done on an abscessed tooth that has developed from an infection. Many times, root canals are performed to relieve tooth aches, stop infections from spreading, and to promote healing in an infected mouth. At Muccioli Dental we are able to perform painless root canals for patients who are in need.

Drs. Randy and Lydia Muccioli are both highly trained root canal dentists and have extensive experience with root canal procedures. We use a restorative dental procedure to remove the infected nerve and pulp fro the center of a tooth, and then clean and seal the tooth to prevent further infection and/or decay. At Muccioli Dental we are able to perform root canals that are painless to our patients. A local anesthetic will be given to numb the area so that patients will be comfortable during the procedure.

Infected teeth are incredibly painful, and root canals are used to alleviate the pain caused by an infected tooth. Some people make the mistake of putting off a root canal because they are scared of the pain that is involved. This is a huge mistake. Oral infections are often the fasted spreading infections because of the warm, moist environment in which they develop. Failure to receive a needed root canal can lead to more serious dental problems.

Don’t let fear keep you from having a needed root canal procedure. Trust Muccioli Dental to restore your infected tooth and keep your entire mouth healthy.
